MagSafe Monday: LISEN’s 3-in-1 Qi2 charger is designed to handle all of your devices with unique a foldable design

LISEN has been one of my favorite recent brands that I’ve been watching. The company’s new 3-in-1 charger is a really nice addition to its lineup. One of the things I love most about it is the foldable design, which is somewhat unique for most MagSafe charging setups. It can charge your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch, and also includes Qi2 support. I have a new office setup, this is the one I am using next to my laptop.

Twelve South’s new Valet combines Qi2 charging with a leather catch-all tray

Twelve South is one of my favorite Apple accessory makers, and as CES 2026 kicks off this week, it has announced an addition to its product line: the Twelve South Valet.

I think Apple should take this radical approach to the new Siri

Apple doesn’t need its own AI model, only a privacy guarantee | New Siri logo seen on an iPhone screen against a colorful background

Apple has been roundly criticized for falling behind in AI, and for its rather disastrous Apple Intelligence launch in which it was forced to admit it had promised things it couldn’t deliver.

The second criticism is valid, the first only partly so. But a new report suggests that Apple’s path to delivering on its AI promises may be a radical one: abandoning work on its own model. I do now think that’s absolutely the right thing to do …

Six reasons you shouldn’t trust five-star reviews for apps or hardware

Six reasons you shouldn’t trust five-star reviews for apps or hardware | Gold star decoration in a window

Consumer reviews used to be one of the most reliable ways of assessing the quality of an app or a physical product. If you didn’t know any friends who’d tried it, the number of reviews and the average rating was a pretty good guide.

Sadly, however, that is no longer the case. Companies have become very adept at gaming the system, meaning that reviews are worth way less than they used to be. There are now six reasons you shouldn’t necessarily trust them, including one I only learned about today …

These are the best new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro deals in January so far

If you’re looking to kick off the new year with a new MacBook, now’s a fantastic time to buy. In recent years, Macs have become more and more affordable – largely in part because of Apple’s transition to Apple Silicon. These MacBooks are also more capable than ever.

Apple’s latest macOS Tahoe update also dropped support for practically all Intel Macs (with some small exceptions). If you’d like to stay on the latest and greatest Apple software, nows a fitting time to upgrade.
