Adding holiday cheer to your iPhone home screen with widgets

Widgetsmith is one of the best apps you can add to your iOS home screen to customize every aspect of it. One of my favorite aspects of it is setting up time-based widgets to automatically rotate during the day. I have one on my home screen that has the weather until 7 a.m., then my calendar until 5 p.m., and then switches a family photo that overlays the weather. If you want to customize your home screen, there’s no better app. Since it’s the Christmas season, there are a number of options inside of Widgetsmith to give your widgets some Christmas flare.

A significant shift in recent years in the enterprise IT industry is how fast new versions of major operating systems are implemented. For the longest time, IT would hold users on an old version of operating systems for many months (if not years) to maintain compatibility with existing systems – but that is changing.

Now that Apple’s fall device release season has come and gone, the one negative comment I’ve seen is that no Apple devices are equipped with Wi-Fi 6E, the latest wireless standard. This might have been frustrating for enterprise customers who buy devices on a three- to four-year life cycle. HomeKit Weekly: Eve Door unlocks HomeKit automations, leverages Thread technology

Eve Door

If someone asked why I prefer HomeKit over smart home platforms, it would be for the ease of creating automations in the Home app that can then be used with Siri over the HomePod.
