Update (10/1 1:00pm): Boost Mobile has announced new monthly plans with “growing data.”  When enrolled in one of these plans you’ll earn an extra 500MB of high-speed monthly data (up to 3GB) for every 3 on-time payments you make.

Apple’s latest flagship iPhone isn’t even a week old yet, but it’s already getting its first significant discount. Boost Mobile (a pre-paid arm of Sprint’s Network) offers the 16GB iPhone 6s in Space Gray for $549.99 (already $100 below list), but applying coupon code B6677847 during checkout drops your final price down to just $449.99 with free shipping. That’s $199.01 below Apple’s retail price and a pretty crazy deal for such a new release. This iPhone comes free from any contracts, but is locked to Boost Mobile’s service. Prepaid plans with unlimited data, talk, and text start at just $35 $30 per month so it is actually a pretty solid deal all the way around if you live in a good Sprint coverage area.

LG has just announced an innovative new ultrabook. The LG Gram weighs a touch over two pounds, is available in a champagne gold color, has a wedge-shaped profile and is equipped with a black chiclet keyboard.

LG has a long history of developing innovative consumer electronics products and has applied that expertise, along with its laptop success in other markets, to the LG gram series in the U.S.,” said David VanderWaal, vice president of marketing, LG Electronics USA.

It does, though, come up a little short in the OS department: it runs Windows.

Such innovation does, of course, have a long history.

In this week’s episode of The Logic Pros, after looking at some high quality hardware over the past few weeks or so, we are going back to basics with busses, aux tracks, sends and more. While Apple has made it about as easy as we can imagine for new users jumping into Logic for the first time, from Garageband or otherwise, a general understanding of these features can make a huge difference in the quality of a composition. Apple’s iPhone 6s is finally here and it comes along with a new feature that you may not be familiar with. Today we’re checking out the best 3D Touch features. Some of you are probably thinking, how is this any different from a long press, right? Well its uses may not be very different at the moment, but the technology that makes this possible is a very different thing.

3D Touch will sense the amount of pressure your finger applies to the screen and trigger various actions. So instead of a short press or a long press, 3D Touch enables a soft press and a hard press. So you can “tap” on the display, but then you can go even further (quite literally) and press into the display at multiple levels. Once you’ve reached the amount of pressure to trigger an event, the iPhone will provide slight haptic feedback to let you know. So what can 3D Touch actually do?

Make your MacBook chime like an iPhone when you plug it in to charge

The iPhone and iPad have made a cute little chime noise when plugged it into charge since their inception, but the Mac has no such noise as it uses the MagSafe light indicators to show charging status. This changed with the new 12-inch Retina MacBook which doesn’t have MagSafe so it uses the iOS chime sound to indicate charging. By default, this noise is simply disabled for other Macs …
