Telegram briefly pulled from the App Store over child sexual abuse material availability [U]

Update: 11:00 p.m. ET: In a statement to 9to5Mac, Apple said:

“We briefly removed Telegram from the App Store after our review found content that violates our strict guidelines prohibiting child sexual abuse material. The app was subsequently restored after the developer promptly removed the content and banned the user who posted it.”

Update, August 4, 9:43 a.m. ET: In a statement to 9to5Mac, Telegram said:

Apple reported one user sharing CSAM that was immediately banned. Telegram has removed more than 337,900 groups and channels related to CSAM in 2026.

Messaging platform Telegram appears to have been removed from the App Store in multiple countries, although the reason for its apparent removal remains unclear.

Google Health adds two-way Apple Health syncing on iPhone for Fitbit

Back in May, the Google Health app launched alongside the new line of affordable Google Fitbit Air health trackers.

Google Health initially included one-way Apple Health integration. The app could read and import health data recorded by an iPhone, Apple Watch, and other HealthKit-connected apps, but it couldn’t write Fitbit data back to Apple Health.

Today’s Google Health iOS app update adds the missing half of that connection.
