Introduced in iOS 16, Focus Filters are excellent in premise. If you’re in say, a Work focus, you can block out distracting apps, websites, and notifications. It even works in Messages, where you’ll only see texts from people in your Work focus.
There’s one caveat with its implementation in Messages though, and it makes it much less useful for me than it could be.

Desk setups are ever evolving. Because so much of our workflow and desk revolves around tech, which changes constantly, the products we use every day naturally change alongside it. There will always be a place for budget-conscious products, but the accessories I keep coming back to are usually well-built, thoughtfully designed, and that improve my overall workflow. I wanted to share some of my favorite premium desk accessories that would benefit anyone’s setup, whether for gaming, work, or leisure.

When Aqara originally released the Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro with HomeKit Secure Video support back in 2025, it ended a long drought. I am sometimes astonished that a company built on the notion of prioritizing the user experience is still capable of allowing some absurd UI oversights to remain unfixed through countless macOS generations.
One of the most absurd examples to me is the fact that menu bar items can end up being hidden behind the MacBook Pro notch …
