Apple’s Focus filters are a great feature, but they have a glaring blind spot: group chats

Introduced in iOS 16, Focus Filters are excellent in premise. If you’re in say, a Work focus, you can block out distracting apps, websites, and notifications. It even works in Messages, where you’ll only see texts from people in your Work focus.

There’s one caveat with its implementation in Messages though, and it makes it much less useful for me than it could be.

These premium desk accessories completely upgraded my setup [Video]

Desk setups are ever evolving. Because so much of our workflow and desk revolves around tech, which changes constantly, the products we use every day naturally change alongside it. But one thing I’ve noticed over the years is that when I invest a little more in premium accessories, they tend to last much longer. There will always be a place for budget-conscious products, but the accessories I keep coming back to are usually well-built, thoughtfully designed, and that improve my overall workflow. HomeKit Weekly: Why the Aqara G5 Pro remains one of the best outdoor HomeKit cameras

The challenge with HomeKit Secure Video is that the manufacturer sees no option for recurring revenue, so I suspect that might be part of the holdup for many new cameras (on top of the lack of new features). When Aqara originally released the Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro with HomeKit Secure Video support back in 2025, it ended a long drought. I have had one outside for over a year now, and if you have a porch area, this is a great outdoor camera.

After a three-week break, Formula 1 racing is back this weekend with the peak of motorsport landing in Montreal, Canada.

In the United States, Apple has exclusive streaming rights for all of F1 so you normally need an Apple TV subscription to watch. However, this weekend is an outlier, as Apple made a special deal with Netflix which will see the race also broadcast on the rival streamer.
