In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, Masimo CEO Joe Kiani goes in-depth on why he’s determined to fight Apple until the end: “No one is standing up to them. If I can do it, it might change Apple for the better.”

After a week of unavailability due to an ITC ban, the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 have returned to Apple’s online store. This comes after the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit approved Apple’s appeal for a pause on the ban.

Two more stories have emerged this week, praising the Apple Watch’s ability to detect potentially life-saving health problems. This time around, both Apple Watch users sent an email to Apple CEO Tim Cook to thank him for the Apple Watch – and both received a response just a few hours later.

As the saga of the Apple Watch ban in the US continues, we’ve been learning more about what exactly led medical technology company Masimo to file a lawsuit against Apple years ago. A new Bloomberg report on Wednesday revealed how Marcelo Lamego, one of Masimo’s key engineers, was hired by Apple after emailing Tim Cook.

As reported on Tuesday, Apple has officially filed its appeal of the ITC’s ruling that bans it from selling the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the United States.

In its appeal, Apple argues that the Federal Circuit should pause the ban until U.S. Customs and Border Protection makes a decision about whether a “redesigned version” of the devices “falls outside the scope” of the initial orders.
