Feature Request: How Activity Sharing for Apple Watch could improve

Apple Watch Activity Sharing is a great way to share your fitness progress with friends and stay motivated. The feature lets you easily share completed workouts, achievements, and more with your Apple Watch friends.

Activity Sharing has its limitations, however, and I’m hoping watchOS 5 and iOS 12 can address them with a few changes.

Apple Watch is an excellent health and fitness tracker that can actually save lives, but something about the latest model may be causing issues for users who work in certain hospital environments. A number of Apple Watch users including a 9to5Mac reader report unexpected reboots on Apple Watch Series 3.

The common thread appears to be using the Apple Watch in the intensive care unit of some hospitals. This suggests there may be specific ICU-related equipment used in hospitals that could be interfering with Apple Watch Series 3 with or without cellular.

Quick Start and Set up with Device dramatically simplifies setting up new Apple devices

Receiving a new iPhone or iPad as a gift is a wonderful thing, but setting up a new device has historically been a chore. Manually pairing accessories, joining Wi-Fi networks, remembering which password goes with which account, and the ever-increasing steps required to actually use your shiny new toy make up the worst first world problems.

The good news is Apple has acknowledged this pain point and created a dramatically simpler way to pair or upgrade new products including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and AirPods.

Running my first half marathon — with Apple Watch Series 3 and AirPods

On Sunday I ran my very first half marathon race equipped with just my Apple Watch and AirPods. Apple Watch Series 3 includes a built-in GPS and optional cellular so you can map your run and wirelessly stream music without strapping an iPhone to your arm. And AirPods, which can play music from the watch, are totally wireless so there’s no cable to manage during the race. Here’s how my experience went:
