After an extensive testing period, DirecTV Now is officially launching its Cloud DVR feature to everyone. Though the company notes the feature is still technically in “beta,” everyone can now give it a shot.

CBS All Access gains movie streaming as DirecTV Now expands Fox local stations

CBS has expanded its All Access subscription video service to include movie streaming for the first time. CBS All Access primarily offers live and on-demand streaming of original TV shows that air on the network. Meanwhile, DirecTV Now is expanding its coverage for Fox local stations to 14 new markets. That’s nearly double the number of Fox local station markets previously offered.

Earlier today, YouTube’s foray into the streaming cable bundle market was officially unveiled earlier today, offering the “big four” networks and unlimited DVR at $35 per month. YouTube’s solution, of course is meant to be a competitor to existing services like DirecTV Now.

Just prior to the announcement of YouTube TV, though, AT&T executive Tony Goncalves talked the future of DirecTV Now in an interview with The Information.

Hulu sets itself apart from DirecTV Now as it secures CBS for upcoming live TV service

Hulu announced today that it has signed a new agreement with CBS to carry content from America’s most-watched broadcast network including both on-demand and live programming. AT&T’s DirecTV Now streaming TV service: launching November 30 from $35/month + free Apple TV offer

AT&T has officially unveiled details about its upcoming streaming TV service called DirecTV Now. The company first announced the subscription video service back in March, promising “on-demand and live programming from many networks, plus premium add-on options” over the Internet similar to Sling TV and PlayStation Vue. Details on pricing and availability have been limited until now.
