Adobe Illustrator on iPad is now available to pre-order on the App Store. The teams at Adobe and a select group of artists have been busy refining the app’s tools and user experience since it was previewed in November 2019 at Adobe MAX. I asked one of those artists, Yiying Lu, about her experience with Illustrator on iPad so far and how it will shape the future of creativity.

In addition to opening Illustrator for iPad pre-orders, Adobe is out today with new features for Premiere Pro as well as After Effects and Audition. New for Premiere Pro includes Scene Edit Detections, HDR for broadcasters, and new Quick Export option. Meanwhile, After Effects is gaining updated camera navigation tools and more in the public beta.

Adobe released a new version of its Lightroom app for iOS this week and it unfortunately has caused some users to permanently lose their photos and presets. An update has been released since fixing the issue but Adobe says there’s no way to help those already affected by the flaw to recover lost images and data.

Adobe is updating Photoshop on iPad today with two major features creatives have been asking for: the Refine Edge Brush and Rotate Canvas tools. Photoshop on iPad customers should expect to see the update roll out today in the App Store.
