A federal juge ruled on Tuesday that AT&T can proceed with its $85.4 billion acquisition of Time Warner. Judge Richard Leon ruled the deal is legal and he did not impose any conditions on the merger.

News has broke this afternoon that the US Department of Justice has opened an investigation over antitrust concerns and potential collusion between Verizon and AT&T in efforts to prevent eSIM adoption and progress. Unsurprisingly, Verizon and AT&T took the top two spots for the most activations, but T-Mobile did gain more new customers than any other provider. This morning OpenSignal has published its annual report on the four major U.S. carriers. In 2017, the two largest U.S carriers, AT&T and Verizon, unleashed their unlimited data plans, which means all four major carriers now offer an unlimited data plan in some form. Chevrolet has announced today that they are offering a new unlimited plan for U.S. Chevrolet owners who have an in-vehicle OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
