Three Apple events later, there’s still no word from Apple on AirTags – and now it seems Samsung could beat the Cupertino company to the market with Galaxy Smart Tags.

After launching back August, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with the Snapdragon 865+ chip and 12GB RAM has been the fastest smartphone when it comes to app-loading style speed tests. However, now that Apple’s released its iPhone 12 and 12 Pro with the new A14 Bionic chip, it’s regained its crown.

Last year it appeared that Samsung was putting an end to its marketing approach of mocking Apple over the differences between iPhones and the Galaxy smartphones. Well, that didn’t last long, as Samsung has taken shots at Apple over the decision to stop including a charger with iPhone 12.

A report today suggests that Apple might be making South Korea a priority target for the iPhone 12, with this year’s models to go on sale there earlier than usual – or at least, at an earlier point in the rollout.

Real-time Apple Music lyrics came to the Mac in February, and the feature has now hit Samsung Smart TVs. It’s an update to the Apple Music app that first came to Samsung televisions in April.

Over the weekend I got my hands on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip smartphone. It doesn’t possess the type of flagship specs found on the recently revealed Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, but to me, it’s by far the more interesting phone, thanks to its ability to fold a 6.7-inch AMOLED display into a clamshell form factor that’s much more portable.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is not the first foldable smartphone, but it’s easily the most impressive foldable phone that the industry has seen thus far. While far from perfect, it makes me think that there is definitely a market for such a product, and I think it goes without saying that Apple has been experimenting with similar form factors behind closed doors.
Although we may or may not ever see an Apple “iPhone Flip,” I’m really hoping that we will. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip breathes some much-needed excitement into the typical stale smartphone “slab of glass and metal” form factor.

During the Galaxy Unpacked event today, Samsung unveiled its latest flagship smartphones and accessories like its AirPods competitors. The Galaxy S20 lineup includes features like 120Hz displays, 8K video recording, and powerful cameras. Samsung also unveiled its second-gen foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip.
The latest estimate of the true wireless in-ear headphones market shows that Apple’s AirPods continue to dominate the market, with a 47% market share across 2019.
Second place was shared by Xiaomi and Samsung, who weren’t even close …
Apple beat Samsung in Q4 2019 smartphone shipments, but dropped from second to third place behind Huawei when looking at the year as a whole.
That’s the picture painted by Strategy Analytics, which estimated that Apple shipped 70.7M iPhones in Q4 2019 against 68.8M Samsung smartphones in the same quarter. It’s a reversal of the same quarter last year when the Korean company was comfortably ahead…
A couple of weeks ago during CES 2020, Samsung took the wraps off the latest iteration of its T-series portable SSD line, the Samsung T7 Touch. Today Samsung took the wraps off the latest entry in its popular T-series portable SSD lineup. Samsung yesterday presented its Samsung Pass feature yesterday. Like Apple’s Face ID and Touch ID, this allows your face or fingerprint to log you in to things like e-banking services.
