This fall is shaping up to be a busy one for the iPhone. Apple is rumored to be preparing four different iPhone 12 variants set for an announcement next week. Read on as we round up all of the specs, features, and design details that we know about the iPhone 12 so far.

Apple yesterday revealed that its next event, at which it will unveil the iPhone 12, will take place on October 13. The anonymous Twitter leaker l0vetodream today tweeted the names of the upcoming iPhone 12 phones. He says that the new iPhone lineup will be called iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The iPhone 12 is expected to be officially announced by Apple in October.

These brand names have been circling around the rumor mill for a while, but l0vetodream has built up a good track record of accuracy this year, making this leak particularly notable.

Ahead of tomorrow’s Apple event, reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is out with a new investor note highlighting his expectations for the remainder of 2020. Kuo corroborates expectations that the new iPad Air will feature Touch ID in the side button, as well as blood oxygen support on the Apple Watch Series 6.

The Apple analyst also predicts that the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 will include a “slightly narrower notch area.”

The iPhone 12 models will all feature a new design with flat edges according to several reports and rumors, but we haven’t seen yet a genuine leaked component of this year’s iPhones. However, a video shared today on Twitter by YouTuber Filip Koroy, known as EverythingApplePro, shows an alleged rear shell of the new 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro.

All the signs now point to two Apple events in the near future: the now-announced one on September 15, and a second one in October for the delayed iPhone 12 keynote.
