Amazon’s iOS app now uses ARKit for virtual shopping ahead of Black Friday

Along with launching today’s Countdown to Black Friday 2017, Amazon updated its iOS app to include a new feature for the holiday shopping season called ‘AR View’. Leaning heavily on Apple’s own ARKit, this new feature allows customers to virtually place products in their home “allowing them to visualize the aesthetic” prior to purchasing. Anker unveils new AirPlay-enabled Capsule Portable Projector

It’s been a busy 2017 for Anker thus far, as the brand has expanded in many ways to smart home technology and other categories. Today, it’s launching a new campaign on Indiegogo under its Nebula sub-brand for the upcoming Capsule handheld projector.

Amazon debuts new Echo speakers and $70 4K Fire TV to rival HomePod and Apple TV

Comcast’s new XFINITY Instant TV streaming service rolls out in select markets

After rumblings back in the spring, Comcast is officially rolling out its new XFINITY Instant TV bundle for broadband customers today. Plans start at $18 per month as the cable giant looks to retain cord-cutters that are becoming increasingly dependent on services like Hulu, Netflix and others.
