We’ve already shared the new default wallpapers currently in iOS 10 and macOS Sierra, but there are also two additional new wallpapers that ship with iOS 10. Apple’s new HomeKit app called Home includes two house-themed images that you can set as wallpapers inside the app. 9to5Mac reader Mark Malstrom has extracted and shared both Home app wallpapers from iOS 10 for iPhone and iPad so you can use them as your Home screen and Lock screen wallpaper too.

As part of Apple’s Renew program, where the company is encouraging people to recycle their old devices to help the environment, Apple has posted some exclusive environmental wallpaper to download on its website. The URL (apple.com/thanks) is given out on cards in Apple Stores to people who recycle their old device in store, as a small gesture of appreciation.

However, the URL is open to anyone to visit and download some cute, exclusive, iOS 9 wallpaper that isn’t included in the default list of iOS wallpaper …

We shared yesterday that Apple’s newly released fifth developer beta version of iOS 9 adds a new collection of colorful, Retina showcasing default wallpapers for the iPhone. Settling on a new wallpaper, or in this case a whole set of gorgeous imagery, usually mean development on the operating system itself is wrapping up ahead of a public release sometime the following month.

For non-developers and iPhone users not risking stability on their daily driver in favor of new eye candy and features, though, the several week waiting period for iOS 9 to be finalized and released ahead of the new iPhone 6S can make waiting to try those new wallpapers frustrating. Although early beta releases of iOS 9 featured relatively little new eye candy for potential upgraders, today’s release of iOS 9 beta 5 includes a welcome surprise: a large collection of colorful new wallpapers. The images range from colorful desert dunes to several different colors of feathers, plants, planets, and multi-colored explosions. They’re all packed with detail, showing off the photorealistic rendering abilities and vivid color palettes of Retina displays. Many (but not all) of iOS 8’s wallpaper images have been removed from the collection, and the blue/green tidal wave image originally included with iOS 9 betas has disappeared.

iFixit shares ‘iPad Air internals’ wallpaper for seeing what’s underneath the surface

We’ve already seen them rip open the iPad Air and more recently the even thinner iPad Air 2, and by going somewhere no ordinary iPad owner would ever dream of going, iFixi has shared high-resolution wallpapers of what exists underneath the surface of our displays.

Below you can view and download wallpapers of the internals of iPad Air with LTE (1), the iPad Air with WiFi-only (2), the iPad Air with LTE zoomed back to reveal more (3), and the iPad Air with WiFi-only zoomed back to reveal more (4).

iFixit recommends disabling parallax (Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion>On) and pinching out a bit when setting your wallpaper, but the end result should give you an inside look at your iPad Air’s internals behind your app icons as if the LCD screen was completely see through.
