Apple notifies winners of WWDC 2024 lottery who will attend in-person event

As we previously reported, Apple announced WWDC 2024 on June 10-14. Although the event will be streamed online with pre-recorded sessions, developers had the chance to sign up to attend an in-person event at Apple Park. Now Apple is notifying the winners of the WWDC 2024 lottery who will have the chance to watch the opening event right from Apple Park.

Siri launched with the iPhone 4S in October 2011, replacing Voice Control with a more capable virtual assistant. A dozen years later, Siri has evolved into the primary way we interact with our Apple products.

Wait, no, I’m being told Siri sounds more natural but the core technology is roughly the same. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence now means generative AI and chat bots are based on large language models.

Siri and the rest of iOS 18 will join the AI revolution in June, ending our long national nightmare of Siri being somewhere between hot garbage and kinda useful sometimes. At least that’s what’s being reported, but we don’t really have a great sense of what to expect yet.

WWDC 2024 confirmed for June 10: iOS 18 and more expected

Apple has officially confirmed WWDC 2024, where iOS 18 for iPhone users will be officially announced. The company says that this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference will take place from June 10 through June 14. The festivities will get started with a special keynote on Monday, June 10.

“Entire conference available online for all developers, with a special event at Apple Park on June 10,” Apple says.
