Stanford study combines Apple Watch and AI to study pain exacerbation in kids

A new study at Stanford aims to evaluate how the Apple Watch can play a role in identifying “physiologic, dietary, and environment triggers of severe pain exacerbations” in children with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).

In addition to the Apple Watch, the study will integrate artificial intelligence technology from clinical research platform Medeloop. Medeloop is described as an “end-to-end, AI-driven platform for conducting early stage clinical research and clinical trials.”

New spatial Persona beta feature launching for Apple Vision Pro users today

Apple has announced that beta spatial Persona support is coming to Apple Vision Pro starting later today. The feature expands on the existing Persona feature of Vision Pro, but with an even more human-like experience.

Spatial Personas allow Vision Pro users to “break out of the familiar FaceTime tile and feel more present, like they are gathered in the same physical space.”

Apple will soon release iOS 17.5 with build number 21F5048f, according to information shared on social media by a private account with a strong track record.

This account generally posts this information just before an update is released, so it’s possible iOS 17.5 beta 1 is released sometime this week. 9to5Mac has also seen growing evidence of iOS 17.5 in our Google Analytics data.

AT&T resetting account passcodes after data leak impacting 73M current and former users

AT&T is resetting customer account passcodes after acknowledging a 2019 data leak. As reported by TechCrunch, the leak included customer records affecting 70 million current and former AT&T users. This marks the first time that AT&T has “acknowledged that the leaked data belongs to its customers.”

The leaked data includes customer names, home addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and social security numbers.
