The first ever Mario game for iPhone has launched to much fanfare from Nintendo and Apple. Download Super Mario Run from the App Store now, on any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 8, iOS 9 or iOS 10.

Super Mario Run is a one button 2D platformer. Mario automatically runs through the level, players press the screen to make him jump onto ledges, avoid enemies and collect coins.

For free, the game includes a selection of levels as a trial; the full game content can be unlocked with a one-time $9.99 In-App Purchase. The makers of the popular Tweetbot Twitter client are out with a new Mac app today called Pastebot. Tapbot’s third Mac app is a clipboard manager that syncs with iCloud and works with Universal Clipboard across iOS and macOS.

Twitter adds livestreaming into iOS app, start broadcasting video from the compose tweet view

Twitter is rolling out a new feature into its native client app for iPhone and iPad. From today, users will be able to start video live stream broadcasts from within the Twitter app courtesy of a new integration with Periscope, which Twitter acquired in 2013.

To start a live video, open the tweet compose screen and tap the new “Live” button. You can frame your shot and then press Go Live to start broadcasting to the world. The feature is rolling out gradually over the next few days.

You can now play Pac-Man (sort of) on the new MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar [Video]

Nintendo’s upcoming mobile title for iPhone and iPad, Super Mario Run, is launching next week and it seems both Apple and Nintendo are doing what they can to make it a success. The game launches publicly next week on December 15.

If you are anxious to try the game ahead of its release, a demo is playable from today at Apple Stores; Super Mario Run has been installed on the iPhone and iPad units at Apple retail locations.

Pokémon Go is teaming up with Sprint to turn businesses into PokéStops and Gyms as part of Niantic’s latest move to keep players in the game. The news comes just one day before Starbucks is expected to do the same while introducing a Pokémon Go-themed drink for trainers. Niantic has also teased out when we might start seeing new monsters appear in the game.

Apple’s WWDC app gains new video filters, more 3D Touch actions, tvOS Dark Mode

The latest update to Apple’s WWDC app includes new features for iOS 10, tvOS 10, and watchOS 3. Apple’s developer conference app now works with Dark Mode on the Apple TV when running tvOS 10. The change should reflect whichever mode the Home screen is using which you can set with Siri or in the Settings app.

The WWDC app also supports more 3D Touch interactions for iPhone 6s and later, plus you can now use filters to find locally stored videos and videos you haven’t viewed yet.

The artistic drawing and painting tool for iPad, Procreate available for $5.99 in the App Store, is rounding out 2016 with one last update in time for the holiday season where countless numbers of iPad Pros and Apple Pencils will be unwrapped for Christmas.

The Procreate 3.2 update includes several major new features, including PSD import for bringing Photoshop documents into the app, Live Capture Streaming to broadcast the creative process, support for a range of iOS keyboard shortcuts, new layers system with nested groups amongst other changes.
