CNN for iPhone and iPad receives iOS 7 redesign, Dynamic Type support, more

CNN has updated its iOS apps for iPhone and iPad with new icons and a new user interface optimized for the sleek look of iOS 7.

Both the smartphone and tablet apps now support iOS 7’s Dynamic Type feature which allows users to adjust the system font in the iOS Settings app. This means you can make the default text view either larger or smaller depending on your preference. Version 2.0 also brings a number of bug fixes to the app.

Camera+ 5 launches with iOS 7 redesign, wallpaper composer, more

Coincidentally with the debut of Photos+ (and no affiliation), popular photography app for iPhone Camera+ released a major overhaul of its app today bringing an all new design optimized for iOS 7 and a handful of new features.

Aside from the new flatter app icon and icons within the app, Camera+ now features what it calls The Lab, which is a suite of additional editing features including the ability to edit and crop images for an iOS 7-style wallpaper.

Camera+ 5 for iPhone is a free update to existing users and $1.99 on the App Store for new customers. Full release notes below:

Pinterest for iPad revamped for iOS 7 in time for the holidays

Just in time for the holidays, Pinterest has released a major update to its iPad app with a new user interface and features to enjoy:

Now you can get to your profile, notifications and more from the handy menu at the bottom—it’ll always be there when you need it. And when you’re ready to Pin something new, we’ll show you your most recent boards for speedier Pinning (hello, Pinning sprees!).

The update includes new ways to share and discover boards and includes hidden boards for discovering as well.

The update is available now for iPad on the App Store.

Just in time for Black Friday: Target app update brings store maps, iOS7 design and gestures

With only 2 days left until the holiday shopping season kicks off with Black Friday, Target has pushed out an update for its iOS app. Version 6.3 brings a new design full of iOS 7-inspired fonts, colors and icons. Users can more easily navigate the app with the swipe-to-go-back feature just like the one that is prominently used in the stock Mail app. Of course, the app continues to offer power shopping tools like a Store Finder, TargetLists, access to the weekly ad, and more.

As a heads up for all you Black Friday shoppers, Target has already made some of its deals available for Red customers. Stay tuned to 9to5Toys all week for instant access to the hottest deals.
