iPhone 9to5Mac

Introduced in 2007 by Steve Jobs, iPhone is Apple’s flagship iOS device and easily its most popular product around the world. Software wise, it runs iOS and includes a large collection of mobile apps through the App Store.

Since its introduction, Apple has released at least one new phone every single year. In recent years, that has typically been in the fall. iPhones are sold through multiple retail channels including Apple Stores, cellular stores, Best Buy, and other major electronic retailers. iPhones can be bought with a single up front payment, financed through the iPhone Upgrade Program, or financed through a cellular carrier.

Apple’s smartphone has become much more than just a phone since its debut. The iPhone can act as your primary camera, music player, GPS device, email client, mobile banking system, messaging device, movie player, and much more.

This accessory turns your iPhone 15 Pro into a mobile studio

I have said this before, and I will say it again. Bringing USB-C to iPhone with the iPhone 15 lineup completely changed how I use and view these phones. When talking about the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, specifically, the power and versatility of that port open up so many new use cases for the iPhone. One use case, in particular, is the ability to record ProRes footage from the iPhone and save it directly to an external SSD without taking up valuable internal storage space. I have found the perfect SSD for this; let me elaborate.

Clicks Keyboard case: Surprisingly great or gimmicky gadget? [Hands on review]

Earlier this year, Clicks announced their Clicks Keyboard case for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. They wanted to bring back the tactility of a physical keyboard to the modern smartphone. As someone who loved using Blackberry Pearl and Bold and the T-Mobile Sidekick back in the day, I was immediately intrigued. But I also had a lot of questions, like: Will the total package be too big? Will it drain my iPhone battery? Is it a true daily product or more of a nostalgic gimmick? To my surprise, the Clicks Case was actually awesome for many reasons. But also has room for improvement. Here is my Clicks Keyboard Case for iPhone review.

Why Apple Intelligence won’t run on older iPhones, or Vision Pro [U: Next year]

Why Apple Intelligence won't run on older iPhones (shown)

See Vision Pro update at the end of the piece.

When asked why Apple Intelligence won’t be available on older iPhones, the company has so far said that the chips simply weren’t sufficiently powerful to provide a good experience. Responses would take too long on older chips.

But many have said that if their phones weren’t up to the task, why not just use Apple Intelligence servers – aka Private Cloud Compute? After all, that’s what already happens with a lot of Siri requests today. We now have an answer to this …
