Audio Hijack 3.5 update supports broadcasting audio including live podcasts

Back in March, Rogue Amoeba announced that it would be discontinuing its Nicecast app for Mac, which let podcasters livecast their shows to the Internet. However, today the company is updating its popular audio recording utility Audio Hijack for Mac with support for broadcasting. Announced via a press release, the company says that version 3.5 is focused on internet radio streaming.

Apple releases GarageBand 10.3 for Mac w/ free Artist Lessons, Drummers, new sounds & more

Apple today released an update to GarageBand for Mac with version 10.3 introducing free downloadable Artist Lessons alongside new Drummers and sounds.

Included in today’s update is a push towards educational content for the classroom with in-app Artist Lessons now available for free in 150+ countries. Previously the content was available for $4.99 as in-app purchases in just 20 countries.

Podcast platform Anchor launches iPad app with built-in clip editing, Drag and Drop

The simple podcast platform Anchor today launched an iPad version of its iOS app, which lets users record, edit and publish a podcast from inside one application. You can use the hardware mic or plug in external accessories for better quality. On iPad, Anchor app supports iOS 11 Drag and Drop features to bring audio snippets straight into the library.

Adobe Scan iOS app can now scan business cards to Contacts with 99% accuracy

Sharing contacts between phones doesn’t yet seem to have taken over from handing out business cards, but if you want to keep things paperless there are a number of apps that allow you to scan a card and save it to your contacts.

iWork for iOS and Mac updated, built-in audio recording and Smart Annotation improvements on mobile
