Pokémon GO may be forced to change Poké Stops and Gyms in game after lawsuit settlement

A proposed settlement for Pokémon GO developer Niantic in its class action lawsuit suggests that it could be removing or changing some Poké Stops and Gyms within the game. According to a report from Variety, the proposed settlement was filed on Thursday in a California court. If approved, Pokémon GO will need to remove Poké Stops or Gyms that are on private property.

WSJ: Apple wants 50% revenue from $10/month News subscription service

The Wall Street Journal has published a new report describing the ongoing negotiations between Apple and major publishers over an upcoming subscription news service. While the service would go through Apple’s built-in News app on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, Apple is reportedly pitching a revenue split that sees it keep 50% of a suggested $10/month membership fee with the remaining 50% shared among participating publishers. The WSJ says negotiations are ongoing, adding that publishers aren’t likely to accept the revenue split as presented.

Latest YouTube for iOS update reintroduces annoying Home indicator bug

Seemingly in conjunction with getting its enterprise certificates back, YouTube found time to update some of its major apps for the 2018 iPad Pros. Such apps included the YouTube app, which was updated to support the new iPads about a month ago, but had a weird bug where the home indicator would overlap the navigation buttons at the bottom of the app.

Streaming live TV has become really popular within the last few years with competitors such as Sling, PlayStation Vue, Hulu TV, and YouTube TV saturating the market. iPhone or iPad replace LTE with 5G E? Here’s why

Here we go again… another generation of cellular technologies and another way to confuse customers in the U.S. In the latest release of iOS 12.2, Apple joined many other Android manufacturers in adding the “5G E” logo for AT&T customers.

Similar to the transition to 4G LTE, where AT&T and T-Mobile misled its customers by adding a 4G logo on the iPhone, despite only being HSPA+ and not LTE, AT&T is now back at it again, labeling LTE-A as “5G E”.
