The IALD is a prominent organization operating with a goal of setting the global standard for lighting design excellence.

Two more of Apple’s smaller mall locations are set to relocate to significantly larger spaces this year, according to a document filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Both stores are due for renovations, having retained largely original appearances since opening in 2007.

Apple has announced that their retail location in Palo Alto, CA will be closing for an undetermined amount of time beginning in May. The building will be remodeled as part of Apple’s strategy to bring all of its 500+ retail locations into the Today At Apple era. While store employees have not yet been given a specific date of closure, the renovations are expected to begin in “mid May.” We’ll update this post as more information becomes available. Update: Apple’s website now indicates the store will close as of May 13th.

If you want to see the world’s only remaining Apple store dedicated to Apple Watch sales, you’ll have to act fast. Signage recently posted at the Isetan department store in Shinjuku, Tokyo indicates that the location will be closing as of May 13th.

Over this past holiday weekend, T-Mobile opened a new Signature Store in the heart of downtown San Francisco. While the shop’s bright magenta signage doesn’t betray the building’s past, Apple fans may remember the site at the corner of Stockton and Ellis streets as the former home of Apple’s flagship San Francisco store.
